Another lazy day

Jennifer and Declan went off into Port Vila this morning while I stayed with Callum who had woken up with a sore throat and a bit of a fever. The travellers came back surprisingly quickly with not much good to say about the town: Jennifer said the museum was ‘disappointing’, Declan was far more blunt. The highlight was getting an ice-cream and seeing some evidence of Cyclone Pam.

Other than that we sat about and read and played 500 and, you guessed it, snorkelled. We added several sea snakes, reef squid and some very cool worms to our tally of things we have seen. I’d forgotten how endlessly fascinating a reef can be and it’s lovely to be able to take all the time we want to explore.
