Brugge

We stayed for 10 days in this lovely townhouse in Brugge. It has it’s own entrance, and two floors, which made it feel much bigger. Alex greeted us with a lovely basket of local food, and lots of great information about the area. The house is a long walk or a short bus ride from the train station, and ideally located near the most picturesque canals of Brugge.

It is close to the town square, and about five minutes walk away from a great supermarket, and right next door to a nice bakery, with excellent morning croissants.

The main bedroom is lovely, with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. The second bedroom is multiple level and the boys loved it because they had one level each, but it wouldn’t be great for a second couple – the top floor has a double mattress on the floor, and the bottom floor has a single bed.

Brugge is on the fabulous Belgian train network, which means you can get pretty much anywhere in Belgium fairly easily. It is an hour away from Brussels, and about 15 minutes from the coast.
