Seville

We stayed here for a week in May/June 2011. The apartment is in the old part of Seville right next to the bullfighting ring and a short walk from the Alcazar, cathedral and the river. It is a longer walk to the new part of town, where the main shopping district is, and about a kilometre to a reasonable sized supermarket.

It is a noisy part of town, but the soundproofing windows mean that sleeping is fine (you can still hear the noise, but it isn’t disturbing). Seville is hot, even in late Spring, early summer, so we were very grateful for the air conditioning. The only small problem we had was check in, at first Manuela couldn’t open the main doors with the keys (they need a fair bit of jiggling and patience, which had us a bit worried!). Manuela doesn’t speak english, so her and our miming skills were tested, but we got the apartment figured out fine in the end.

The living space in the apartment isn’t enormous, but it was big enough for the four of us and the kitchen was well enough equipped to cook most of our meals.
