Clifden, Ireland

We stayed in this house five miles from Clifden for a week in August 2011.

The house was beautiful. It had a glorious view out over the inlet, where the locals had parked their curraghs, and had everything we could possibly want. The kitchen was fully equipped for serious cooking, with supplies of tea coffee, salt, pepper, olive oil etc laid on.

Our host, Paddy, was great, meeting us in Clifden to guide us down the Sky Road to our house, and telling us everything we needed to know about the house.

The local area is one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland. You can catch a ferry to Inishbofin, walk across to the tidal island of Omey, go walking in the Connemara national park, or pony trekking, as well as visiting any one of the local pubs for some music or Guinness.

We loved the house, and would highly recommend it for a relaxing holiday in one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland.
