Larapinta 3: Standley Chasm
What an amazing walk. We walked up and out of the Chasm with the rising Sun making the ridges glow orange. It was a tough uphill on broken ground but utterly worth the effort for the expansive views.

Over the ridge it was more up and down through fire ravaged, rocky landscape to ´the window´ from where we claimed down a cliff into a wonderous gorge. Following the gorge downstream meant clambering along ledges above pools of still water lined with ghost gums. Utterly beautiful.

Lunch in the gorge by a pool was followed by a tough walk back in the Sun and flies. Early to camp, so time for a bit of organization of our kit.
