Almost a rest day

I’m a little jaded on churches, but Tiny is still very keen to check out a good church, so our plan was to make the most of our short day today and visit the inside of the Los Arcos church which is supposed to be fabulous. Unfortunately, it was on Spanish time, and didn’t open until the afternoon. Evan and I had missed it three years ago as it was in use for a wedding. I guess I’ll just have to come back another time.

We made up for it by taking lots of pictures from the outside, as well as a few other churches on the way, plus visiting the inside of a tiny, lovely chapel in our destination today, Torres del Rio.

Churches today

More generally today almost felt like a rest day, with just under 8km to walk. Even with a stop at a lovely Spanish pharmacy (knowledgeable and English speaking as they always are) for some valuable knee advice for Tiny (pretty much the same as my advice so it must be right), we made it to our destination before midday, giving us time for an early lunch and a mid afternoon beer as we caught up on our washing. For the New Zealanders amongst us there were also some bonus sheep.

Short walk today but very pretty
