Druk Path 4
Today was really all about breathlessness from getting steadily higher and treacherous footing from mud and snow.
We walked around the lake and over a jury-rigged wooden bridge and then started a steady uphill on a ledge on the mountainside. There were continual sections of snow and ice to deal with.

Alfresco lunch with a view was on offer again and again felt very special.
The highlight of the day was stringing a set of prayer flags on the highest pass. it was a team effort and, I think, gave us all a sense of accomplishment.

The highest point we reached today was just over 4100m. And the other thing today is that we are sleeping at over 4000m. I’m honestly not sure how acclimatized we are, but no one appears to be suffering.

One nice thing is that Andrew brought whiskey with him so we have a little whiskey club meeting pre-dinner to while away the time.
