Settling in
Jean has shown distinct improvement and will be released from hospital tomorrow. Of course in one way that means Jennifer and Bob’s intercontinental dash was unnecessary; but that’s only obvious in hindsight. The other good news is that Jennifer is flying back to Spain on Thursday. I don’t envy her the turnaround but am looking forward to her being here.
Today was my first day at my new school. After the disaster that was the Pamplona school last year, I walked the three minutes from my apartment to the school with some trepidation. I needn’t have worried. The school is well-organised, the class lovely, the teacher great. As usual though, five hours of Spanish classes has left my head in an exhausted whirl.
This evening the school had organised a walking tour of the city. So a-walking-tour I went.
