Team Etruscan

We have become slightly obsessed with the Etruscans. So we visited the necropolis in Tarquinia which was, frankly, amazing. The artwork is just beautiful in tomb after tomb. Two-and-a-half thousand years ago they made art that is still jaw-dropping today.

We had a lovely lunch in the piazza in Tarquinia and then visited the Etruscan museum.

Finally on the way back home we stopped at Lake Bolsano for a swim – the day has been very hot. Then a quick stop at the supermarket allowed us to create a dinner back at the house.
