Krakow

We stayed in this apartment for a week in February 2011. The apartment is just outside the old town, and only about 1km from the main train station. It’s very close to all public transport, but as others have said, you only need that to get out of town (eg to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines).

The apartment felt very spacious, it’s pretty large, and it uses the space well. The high ceilings made it feel even bigger. Even in a cold winter, it was lovely and warm, and a great haven from the minus temperatures outside.

The kitchen was very well set up, with lots of bench space, pots and pans, and any herbs and spices you might need. It even had a water filter jug.The apartment came with lots of thoughtful touches – enough washing powder, a mobile phone to use in the city, and a huge collection of tourist brochures and previous guest suggestions to make finding your way around very easy.

So far, on our tour, this is our best apartment.
