Countryside near Ruhpolding

This is my favorite shot so far from the pictures I’ve taken around Ruhpolding. But pretty much everywhere you point a camera in this picturesque Bavarian village will give you a good picture.

The fresh snow on the day we got here just added texture to the beauty of the scene.

This particular spot is just a field, looking towards an even smaller village nearby. There is a mixture of church styles around here. Some are the tall steeple you can see in this picture, and there are also a few more onion dome types, more reminiscent of the Austro-Hungarian empire. We are very close to the border with Austria, after all.
