A sunny day on a boat on a French canal with friends from home – how perfect is that?

We met up with the Taylors this morning as they canal-boat from Beziers up to Carcassonne. Having laid in picnic supplies we joined them going up the canal through several locks. It was great seeing the locks from the boat-ward side after having watched them from above a few days ago.

We had lunch on their boat and the kids ran about finding every possible means of getting into and out of the boat. For a relatively small vessel it was astonishing how complex the game of chase seemed. Meanwhile for the adults a glass of local wine in the sun while chatting away was simply bliss.
