Mini-golf in the rain

It rained today. Rained to the point of road closures and threats of flooding. Rained endlessly and miserably.

I wonder how people live here when one day is glorious and the next so fundamentally awful. One of the locals we chatted with said the rain was ‘character building’. Maybe. But I have a feeling sunny days are character building too and it’s probably a cheerier sort of character.

We caught up on our washing; read our books; and went and played indoor mini-golf. For the record, Callum and I tied for first place.
