High point

Bacon and eggs for breakfast set us up for the relatively short walk up to the highest point on Bruny. The walk was through rainforest and so quite a different feel to the other days. Moss and mushrooms, rather than sand and rocks.

The view from the top while sipping coffee and eating freshly made appler and pear cake was predictably good.

Then it was a drive back to the northern tip of Bruny and a pizza lunch in the local café before setting out into the teeth of the wind for the boat trip back to Hobart. A salty, wet trip through the driving spray but fun for all that.

And so back to the big city for a cocktail by the harbour before an early night, ready for the morning flight back to Sydney.
