Copenhagen balls

Copenhagen is, apparently, the most livable city in Europe and you can sort of see why as you wander about. Lots of bikes, lots of people sitting outside in cafes and bars even in the dead of Winter. There’s a calm feel to the place which is very pleasant.

We walked through the town stopping by the Palace to wave hello to the only Australian royal. The little mermaid statue was inevitably underwhelming, but it was a good point to turn back from. Finding a place for 9 people to have lunch, proved a bit difficult but we ended up having a very nice Vietnamese meal.

This evening we went ice-skating in Christiania. They have banned the selling of weed on the wonderfully named Pusher Street, and ice-skating is one of the activities they replaced it with. Skating soon descended into a roving snowball fight leading to the jointly crated haiku:

Daughter threw snowball
Hit me in the balls, it hurt
Fell over, all laughed
