Oh, deer

Jennifer, Skye, Lea and I headed North of Copenhagen to Klampenborg. First stop was the sea where we stood shivering in layers of clothes while watching locals skinny dip. There were a lot of people in the water, albeit for a short period of time – they seemed to enjoy the experience, although it baffled us why anyone would.

We then hired bikes and rode through the Deer Park. The headwind created by riding drove the cold even deeper into our bones but it was otherwise a beautiful day. And we saw lots of deer of various species and sizes. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours but we were all desperately relieved to retreat to a warm cafe for lunch.

Our carefully laid dinner plans – nine people for dinner in a city that is wincingly expensive requires planning – came to naught when the canal-side restaurant cancelled due to flooding. So it was fallback pizza in the apartment.
