Final push to Siena

Another lovely day. Although it lacked some of the ‘wow’ of the last couple there was, still, a nice dose of Tuscany.

We had a couple of agriturismo coffee stops, and a couple of self-created rock stops.

There were the usual wildflowers, butterflies, and many, many lizards. We only realised afterwards that the lizard in the picture has changed colour to match the leaf. We also saw wild deer and frogs.

Our end point for the day and the walk was Sienna, which we reached after a hot few kilometers on busy roads. Sienna itself had blessedly shaded alleys in one of which we found restaurant for lunch.

We finished off the day with an aperitivo in the Piazza del Campo.
