Bull ring

Look normally l’m all-in on preserving cultures and traditions. And I’m far from being a vegetarian. But I just can’t come at bull fighting.

The Plaza del Torros in Pamplona is an absolutely fine example of a bullring, one of the best in the World in fact. And visiting the building is genuinely interesting. But at the end of the day, no matter how much there is skill and grace involved in bull-fighting, its core involves torturing an animal to death. And that’s just too ugly for me.

The thing about advancing as a society is we leave some things behind us as being inappropriate in a modern world. Bull fighting needs to be one of those things.
