Today was largely about climbing peaks but it started easy with a cable car. Then we followed a trail through lunar landscapes where the path was disturbingly damaged by recent rockfalls.

A tough morning of climbing eventually took us to the summit of Horcados Rojos at 2506m. It was a tough walk I must say. The view was wonderful but included a clear picture of the building thunderstorm that had been promised for the afternoon.

Our walk down was significantly faster than the climb up, helped by the clouds dropping the heat.
